The following guidelines are intended to safely prepare and resume in-person CPR and First Aid classroom instruction to individuals and groups. Hands-on-practice and evaluations are required for certification. Therefore, the primary concern must be for the health and safety of all students and the instructor.

American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Certification Course
The goal of the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Course is to train and teach healthcare professionals how to perform high-quality CPR individually or as part of a team. Choose either Instructor-Led training or Blended learning. Students must pass the Adult CPR-AED Skills Test, Infant CPR Skills Test and Score at least 84% on the exam to receive a course completion card. The Course Agenda is as follows:
Student manual required for the full class and renewal class; bring your current manual or purchase one during training.
*AHA BLS HCP Renewal classes require the students to have a current AHA BLS HCP card presented to the AHA instructor.
For Blended Learning, AHA BLS HCP Skills Testing Class requires the students to have completed Part 1 of the online-self-directed HeartCode BLS course. You must print the Part 1 Completion Certificate for presentation to the AHA instructor. This course is video-instructor-led and includes practice and Skills Testing.
Your AHA Healthcare Provider Card states: This card certifies that the individual has completed the cognitive and skills evaluations following the curriculum of the AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) Program.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, & PALS & has developed instructional materials for this purpose. The use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.

Emergency Oxygen Administration (EMS Safety)

Emergency oxygen administration is optional for healthcare providers and professional rescuers who have access to emergency oxygen. The course will teach you:
This course may only be provided where emergency oxygen is available. You must provide your emergency oxygen for demonstration and practice.
A minimum of 2 students is required. If only one student, then the cost is the same as for two students.
